How can we, as organic gardeners, limit our release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere?

  • Compost and generally recycle
  • Join Community composting scheemes
  • Growing one’s own tree seedlings
  • Produce bio-char
  • Plant more trees
  • Preserve food by drying or bottling
  • Make informed decisions about the products we buy
  • Challenge our own beliefs and habits in relation to their impact on the climate
  • Minimise organic waste
  • Grow willow and rushes
  • Demonstrate by doing
  • Question car travel
  • Gather and use rain water
  • Stop using plastic soap bottles
  • Buy green energy
  • Get more home insulation
  • Plant and eat more vegetables and fruit
  • Avoid/reduce our use of chemicals
