BOG’s new website

We recently redesigned the BOG website to make it easier to keep up to date, and to make easier for would-be members to join us. And it’s now greener than ever.

We recently redesigned the BOG website to make it easier to keep up to date, and to make easier for would-be members to join us. Now it has gone live, we will be working to bring information to visitors about what BOG is about, our events and news and hopefully encouraging new members to joins us.

We have chosen an particularly environmentally aware company to host the website – EcoHosting use renewable energy sources from Ecotricity to power their servers. All the servers are in the UK into the bargain which again is an energy saver.

We already follow green principles in our gardens. We are now very happy we’ve been able to do our bit to address the climate emergency with our internet presence too. We think it’s important for us to walk our talk wherever we can do so.

Want your own website?

If you are in the market for a website provider and you’re hoping to find a hosting company a whole lot greener than normal, you could do worse than to give Ecohosting a go. If you go ahead with signing up to Ecohosting, why not click through to them from here – BOG gets a small commission on every sale that comes from this website.

Ecohosting comes in two flavours: Standard Hosting has everything you need to get going with your own website. We’ve gone for the Premium Package which includes a range of security elements built-in for which you usually pay extra with other providers.

Pick the one you like the look of and help us out into the bargain! If you end up signing up for Ecohosting after following one of these links, BOG gets paid a small finders fee by Ecohosting. Every little helps! Already a local charitable organisation in the Borders has followed our lead and moved their website to Ecohosting.
